Our services include

Quantity surveying

Our reputation and experience as quantity surveyors underpin our ability to guide clients through the contracting process. Our expertise, derived from our vast experience and technical skillset, enables us to provide the complete package of pre- and post-contract commercial services at any scale. Our team can integrate seamlessly into clients’ projects to provide professional cost, value and risk management at all levels.

Expert witness services

Advantage RSK’s expert witnesses are available to provide evidence in disputes concerning land, property and construction. Currently, Advantage RSK is appointed as expert advisor on one of the largest tunnelling projects in the Middle East.

NEC3 and NEC4 training

Our skilled advisors have the expertise to manage and provide tutoring for projects under NEC3 or NEC4 contracts. Previous assignments have included acting as the contracts training partner for the National College of High Speed Rail. We have carried out NEC3 and NEC4 training for international clients in the infrastructure, oil and gas, construction, renewables, utilities, pharmaceuticals and nuclear sectors.

Conflict avoidance and alternative dispute resolution

Conflict can sometimes occur on projects. When a situation arises that requires structured procedures, we have the capacity to proactively outline a structure for avoiding a serious conflict. We aim to anticipate potential conflicts and prevent or minimise their effects on the project. This is a highly valued capability and can ensure a project remains on schedule and budget.

Transformation projects

We have acted as transformation lead on projects for some of the UK’s largest infrastructure companies.

Procurement

We have extensive experience in all procurement strategies and can advise on specific processes including drafting; negotiating contract amendments; contract reviews; and delivering according to standard forms. We are experienced in public- and private-sector procurement, providing a process-driven phase-gate system that includes reporting and recommendations throughout a project. We advise clients on the most appropriate strategies to suit a project’s objectives. This ensures that complex projects can be delivered on time while adhering to the client’s budget.

Dispute resolution

Our construction team advises clients in the public and private sectors on all aspects of construction disputes. We use our knowledge and experience to resolve issues quickly and cost-effectively, whatever their type or size. From small-scale contract disputes to complex arbitration, we are highly experienced in representing clients in a wide range of construction-related disputes.

Our directors are experts and industry leaders in construction-dispute resolution. We help clients to navigate potential problems and advocate early intervention to resolve contract problems before they escalate into disputes. We have helped many diverse clients to avoid litigation, resolve disputes and conclude projects.

Claims management

As specialists in construction claims, we provide tailored advice on a wide range of contractual issues to resolve, manage and determine disputes should they arise. We have experience in all industry forms of contract, including NEC3/NEC4 and those from the Joint Contracts Tribunal, International Federation of Consulting Engineers and Institution of Chemical Engineers.
